I focused more on the additional exercise by doing a lot more physical training to strengthen my legs. I believe this may have taken some of my energy away to use for swimming, which resulted in my times being a little bit slower this week.
When I say that this week was successful, I'm referencing my additional exercise, like I previously stated. Ever since the beginning of this project, I said that half of the goal I'm trying to achieve is strengthening my legs in and out of the pool. The last two weeks have been spent getting back into the swing of swimming since the end of the season. Because of this, I haven't spent that much time out of the pool. This changed this week honestly because I had no mode of transportation and had to find an alternate way of getting in a work out in. On the days that I could go to practice, it was a lot more difficult because of how much time I spent on substituted exercise. When I say that this week was a set back, this is also due to the fact that exercising in other ways than swimming was necessary. The workouts that I did for my legs were unfamiliar and a wake up to any previous muscle memory that I might have had. This slowed down my times in the pool, not by an extravagant amount, but slightly. Although this was a little disappointing in comparison to last week, I hope to get back into the swing of things again! I also decided to upload videos of myself practicing each event every four weeks, so there should be a video by the next time I post a blog! Thank you all for checking back in, and I hope you continue to follow me throughout the next few weeks! Click the button below to see my times from this week and the additional exercise I completed.

It's really cool to see all of the progress you've been making each week.
